Charming Farmhouse Details & Getting Ready

From a photographer's perspective, this 18th-century historic estate feels like an open-air studio, packed with cozy New England character. We started the morning by styling the bride's details—including a breathtaking veil with colorful flowers sewn right into the fabric—out on the lawn against the garden's vibrant, blooming flowers.

The estate's historic charm offered the perfect backdrops at every turn. I hung her wedding dress in the cottage entryway coat room, surrounded by rustic wicker baskets and farmhouse textures. Then, the bridal party hopped into the venue's iconic gold-and-white clawfoot tub for the most fun, relaxed getting-ready photos in their matching PJs!

A Private First Look in the Apple Orchard

Before the guests arrived, the couple shared a private first look and exchanged their vows quietly beneath the canopy of the property's organic apple orchard. Having a smaller timeline meant we had plenty of room to breathe—and plenty of time to include their two dogs, Taco and Pepper, who completely stole the show during portrait hour. Afterward, we snuck away for a quiet moment, capturing photos of the couple holding hands and walking through the serene back fields of the property.

An Upper Garden Ceremony & A Pizza Cutting!

While many couples opt for the sunken garden ceremony, this couple chose to exchange their vows in the stunning upper garden right next to it. It was the perfect choice for an intimate guest list. The sweeping lawns, mature trees, and nearby stone walls created a beautiful, open-air backdrop where guests felt close to the action.

The personal touches didn't stop at the ceremony. Instead of a traditional cake cutting, this couple opted for a casual, high-energy garden party vibe under the sailcloth tent. They brought in a local pizza truck and celebrated their marriage with a pizza cutting using a custom, heart-shaped pizza!

Between emotional toasts and a romantic first dance under the glow of the tent, the energy was unmatched. The spacious layout under the canvas roof allowed the reception details to truly shine.

Magic in the Middlesex County Rain

Just when we thought the night couldn't get any more cinematic, a sudden rainstorm rolled in during the reception. While some might worry about wet weather at an outdoor venue, this couple completely embraced it. We dashed outside the protection of the sailcloth tent, where they danced and kissed in the pouring rain. Lit by the ambient glow of the venue lights, it turned into the most romantic, epic finale to an unforgettable day.

As a storyteller, my goal isn't just to document what your wedding day looked like, but what it felt like.
